Putin’s visit to South America, including Cuba, Nicaragua, Argentina and Brazil was followed by the BRICS summit, where strategic plans of high importance were announced. The final conclusions will be made after the end of the summit.

The Second Phase

In Friday the second phase of consultations to regulate the crisis on the South-East of Ukraine has started. Again, Boroday, Zurabov, Kuchma and representatives of OSCE took an active part. There are yet no definite results, but a dialogue is forming little by little. Each step to peace is priceless – be it even a millimeter short. We are all waiting for the upcoming events.

The opening of the second Front

The celebration of the opening of the Second Front in WW2 took place in Normandy on the 6th of June. A group of leaders of the main World powers were present. Our president Vladimir Putin had a tête-à-tête with the President of France Hollande, Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, Prime Minister of Great Britain Cameron, and a very short meeting with the USA President Barack Obama. Hollande and Merkel organized a meeting between Putin and Poroshenko. There is a result – they shook each other’s hands. What is coming up next?

The Eurasian Economic Union

Today Vladimir Putin, Nursultan Nazarbayev and Alexander Lukashenko signed the treaty on the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union. In the nearest future we expect Armenia and Kyrgyzstan to become the new members of the Union joining Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belorussia. This is an event of great historical significance.
